There is a perception that modern design is cold, with its emphasis on open spaces and its usage of industrial materials such as concrete, stone and glass. But, you don't have to sacrifice great looks for livability. Even the sleekest modern interiors feel warm and inviting if they reflect the personality and lifestyle of their owners. That's why, in my work, I assess both the space and the person living in it. By listening carefully to a client's needs and concerns, I strive to balance a space's modern aesthetic with everyday, practical concerns.

I also enjoy sharing the principles of modern design with my clients (see articles above). By organizing, de-cluttering and paring down to a few beautiful yet well-made basics, people typically feel a sense of freedom which extends beyond furniture and into the rest of their lives.
